Sand Ceremony

Sometimes referred to as a "blending of the sands" ceremony, each person pours a small container of sand (of two different colors).

The ceremony represents two people uniting as one, the vessel containing their combined sand symbolizing the marriage of their hopes, dreams, and values. It's a very visual act, perfect for outdoor weddings, that can be personalized in so many ways, including using a sentimental vessel such as a family heirloom, using multiple types of sand to represent other family members like children, or using sand from the red rocks or your favorite beaches.

Artistic Interpretation

Freehand a sketch of one another. Draw a "blind contour" of each other while never looking down at the paper. This way, you'll be able to focus on each other and show off mutual sense of humor, something that clearly brought you together.
We bring the sketching pad and pens. Frame it as a keepsake memory of your ability to "see" one another clearly.

Think of your wine box ritual as a time capsule that captures a snapshot of your love.
