Guided Hikes

We make your hiking experience custom to your needs and can accommodate 2-14 people. We hold a special-use permit for guided hikes on some of the best trails in Sedona. Hikes range from 1.5-2 hours in length, and we will choose a hike based on your interest, level of difficulty and area you want to visit. For a deeper experience we can create a yoga, hiking and meditation retreat for you and your group.

Make us your first point of contact when you come to Sedona, so you can make the most of your visit here. Our guided hikes include details about Sedona's history, geology, vortex's and filmmaking. Sedona has a multitude of vortex energy, and anywhere you choose here will be an incredible experience you won't forget.

We take couples and large groups. The majority of hikes are led by 2 guides (the owners). We are meditation teachers and offer guided meditation on the land, loving kindness, mindfulness, or chakra meditation. We specialize in sunset, vortex and meditation hikes.

Former yoga studio owners in Chicago, we are full time local Sedona residents, and have been teaching and practicing yoga for 20 years. Sunset hike

Every second changes
Sunset excels as mother nature reveals its grand finale. We start out before sunset and hike to one of Sedona's beautiful vista points overlooking the buttes and wilderness. We will take time to sit in meditation and be inspired as the light constantly changes and animates the red rocks. The best part is post sunset - when the reflection of the sun bounces back onto the rocks and sky, glowing in a palatte of colors.

The day of the hike, please wear shoes or hiking boots with good traction. And bring sufficient water for your hike. If we are doing a sunset hike please have a cell phone to use your flashlight or headlamp in case we need walking back from the hike.

Unless you are arriving in the first part of the day (before noon) we typically don't recommend trying to do a hike the same day to allow for delays at the airport and with travel logistics.

Waiver: Each person participating will be required to sign a waiver for the hike. The waiver has information on hiking safety and current compliance with covid. We are a fully vaccinated company. Download the waiver here

If the trail you are going on is within the red rock ranger district and a daily parking pass is required ($5). (you can also purchase a weekly pass if you plan to be using the forest trails more than once) This pass can purchase at the trailhead (or at any visitors center in Sedona). Please display it on your inside windshield.

Sedona is a “leave no trace” city and there are typically no trash cans at the trailheads so what please pack in you pack out. Again bring sufficient water for your trip and any snacks you might need.

We ask guests to either follow us in their vehicles or meet us at the designated trailhead, as we do not provide transportation to the trailheads.  Some hotels have a complimentary shuttle service and Sedona has a park and ride service if you are not renting a car here in Sedona. Consult with https://sedonashuttle.com or your hotel concierge for more details and arrangements.

Vortex Hike Sites

Bell Rock Vortex

Cathedral Vortex

Bell Rock Vortex

Airport Mesa Vortex

What is a vortex? Sedona vortexes (the proper grammatical form ‘vortices’ is rarely used) are thought to be swirling centers of energy that are conducive to healing, meditation and self-exploration. These are places where the earth seems especially alive with energy. Many people feel inspired, recharged or uplifted after visiting a vortex.*

Although all of Sedona is considered to be a vortex, there are specific sites where the energy crackles most intensely. The four best known Sedona vortexes are found at Airport Mesa, Cathedral Rock, Bell Rock and Boynton Canyon (pictured above) —each radiating its own particular energy. Some are thought to produce energy flowing upward while at others the energy spirals downward, entering the earth.*

Don’t be surprised to find people doing meditation, yoga or performing other rituals at vortex sites. Please be respectful. There are several companies, individual guides and healing practitioners that offer vortex tours. But everyone is welcome to visit on their own. All vortex sites are easily accessible and maps and directions are available at the visitor center. Show up with an open mind and see what happens*. *Article Courtesy of visit sedona.com
